When I was a child, I played outside almost everyday. My parents didn't say anything about played outside but they said I had to went back home before 7pm. Also they said I had to go outside and I couldn't stay home all day. At that time, I couldn't understand why should I go out and couldn't stay home. But today, many children don't go out and play inside their home. Many people said this is unhealthy for children, so I think my parents said to go outside to me because this is good for my health. But now I'm always inside the room and playing some instruments...
My plarents didn't say anything to me and I could do anything that I wanted to do but they told me if I started doing something, don't give up soon and I have to do it at the very least. Therefore, I don't give up soon and I do until I will be satisfied. That's why I can continue to play the instruments and don't quit the brass band club.
I don't remember about how my parents raise me up, but I learned what is the good things and bad things for me, so I think my parents' education gave me a good effect and I keep it in my mind.

I also played with my friends outside almost everyday because I loved it, and it's sad that many children these days play inside their house instead of outside. I realized that there are less and less places to play and many adults say that, "it's very dangerous to go down to the river" or "don't do that..."
ReplyDeleteAnyways, talking about to give up things, your parents are very good educator. My parents are like, "do whatever you want and try to do new things till you find a thing you like to do." so did I and I become interested in many things, but give up pretty easily. :(
It's great that you've persisted with music Satomi! I always found playing an instrument too difficult, and gave up.
